Arthur Aguirre
PRINICIPAL
A former Judge's Associate with many years of experience working closely with the Judiciary, Arthur has now been practising in the law for almost 25 years.

Arthur appears daily in Hearings, Committals and Duty List work in the Local Court and Children’s Court. He regularly appears in Trials, Appeals and Sentence proceedings in the Court of Criminal Appeal, Supreme Court, District Court (both as advocate and instructing solicitor) and in various Commissions of Inquiry.
​
He has significant expertise in fraud and other white collar crime matters, including ATO and ASIC prosecutions.
​
Arthur has a large practice in higher court appellate matters having succeeded in obtaining directed acquitals, re-trials and reduced sentences and more recently - a successful full bench appeal in the High Court of Australia.

Ben Willcox
SENIOR ASSOCIATE
Ben joined Arthur at AA Criminal Lawyers in 2019. He is a Senior Associate of the firm and works exclusively as a Criminal Defence Advocate.
Since joining Arthur, Ben has appeared in more than 100 Local Court and Children's Court defended hearings, appeared in the District Court on conviction and severity appeals and instructed counsel in the Court of Criminal Appeal and the High Court of Australia.

Due of his steadfast dedication to defending the rights of marginalised and vulnerable people, Ben is held in high esteem by his clients, members of the judiciary, solicitors and barristers within the profession. Having worked as a Police Officer with NSW Police Force for over 4 years, Ben is able use his knowledge of the inner practices of the Police Force to his clients advantage in order to deliver the best results.
